Makansiap is starting with a small editorial list. We separate source-backed location facts from details that still need confirmation.
What “address checked” means
A place name, address, or coordinate was matched against the source linked on its detail page. It does not mean opening hours, stall availability, or every business within a food centre has been checked.
Opening hours
Makansiap only shows “Open now” when structured hours have a recent source and can be calculated in Singapore time. Missing or stale hours display as unconfirmed. Public holidays and temporary closures can still change availability.
Dietary and halal information
No halal or dietary label is shown without exact-outlet evidence and a verification date. A food centre, neighbourhood, owner description, or old listing is not treated as certification.
Ranking
The current list is editorial and deterministic. Makansiap does not use paid placement, ratings, live crowd claims, or fabricated confidence scores.
Images
Food photographs are representative rather than claims about a specific outlet. Each image links to a complete credit with its creator, source, Creative Commons licence, and modification disclosure.
